Glad to see progression. I have no insight into the decision but it’s easy to imagine the reasoning:
- forcing searchers to stake and maybe be slashed is awful UX and leads to a worse searcher network
- a RAAs L2 is most definitely not the best infrastructure to run MEV auctions on: high latency, lack of control of the system, reliance on third parties who have no experience running MEV auctions.
